Snow Day

Well I did not meet all my goals that I set out for myself today.
I did post all my pictures from the trip to France.
They can be found at http://homepage.mac.com/robertcunningham
Just clicks the links across the top to view the different sets.
They are some quick and dirty transfers. I plan at some point to scan them really nice on my scanner.

I hung out with hunter at his house.
We went to heinne brother coffe house.
Ley me tell you the story of how we got there.
We began by puting hunters cast in a trash bag so it would not get wet.
WE went dow to the side walk.
Then I pushed him in the wheel chair to heinne brothers. At many point we thought of giving up. At point I would have to put it up on two wheel to get him over patches of solid ice. In the even harder places I would have to drag it. Mid way through we decided to go into the street. WE soon found out that if you go too fast the wheels begin to jiggle. So when had to mantain optimal speed. We then got to hennie brother and had a hard time getting it up the drive way. SOme hippes came and helped us. We then put the wheel chair in the snow. They said no one would steal a wheel chair it would be bad joju. So we got hot chocolates. We sat down next down to a guy working on his laptop running linux. I notices a pices of paper with some equations on them. I could not help myself I asked "Is that mathematica" He said not is latex and some other program. He then showed me his setup. Red Hat 7.6 with gnome. We then had a 45 minutie coneversation about physics John Nash andon the state of education at high schools Also about string theory we also talked about how If I go itnto phiccas I should try to stay away from partical phicics and that super conductivity has more promises . His name was Ivan Blanc {sp} he is a visiting associate professor visiting uofl for one year. What a fun conversation I am going to look him up the next time I am at the uofl campus.
This is going to be the stroy I tell for my senoir speech. This is something that I will keep with me forever. I hope you all have a story like this. What a magical day. I am so thankful I was given this opportunity.
